Hi, Patch. Thanks for your first comment. This is not the first time my last name has been spelled wrong. :)
About your question: different stories take different lengths of time - and the length of time is not always proportional to the length of the story. For instance, I wrote the "Elevator Episodes" story in about 30 minutes. On the other hand, "Meaning of Life and Other Cliches", published in Anotherealm in 2005 and later went on to win the Higney Award at Anotherealm and garnered an honorable mention in the Parallax Awards, took about 10 years to be written.

I just ordered your issue from Interzone.
Write longer stories! :D
Anyhoo, I'll keep checking in to see where you're getting published and try to buy the issues to show support for the up-and-comers.
Found some new genre and mainstream markets through Duotrope (http://www.duotrope.com) and submitted 8 stories (7 reprints and 1 original) to 8 venues - the breakdown of the stories being: 1 SF, 2 fantasies, 2 mysteries and 3 mainstream.
...the last couple of weeks have been good. - Completed and submitted 2 new stories. - Complied with revision request for 1 story. - Recirculated 4 of my stories. And with that, I have all my unpublished stories (12, to be exact) in circulation.
